Your home is probably the most important place in your life. On the other hand, the place where you work is very important too. People usually live in typical buildings like blocks of flats, detached or semi-detached houses or apartments. Some people can buy other kind of houses, much more spectaculars like penthouses or lofts. But buying a car (what are we talking about here? Cars or Houses) is very expensive, anyway.
The house you buy ought to be accord (according: the expression is according to) to your lifestyle. For instance, if you love going to the cinemas or restaurants, you should buy a flat in the city. However, much (people is a countable noun; many people) people have strange and eccentric lifestyle and they need a house according to that. I´ll try to explain some cases like those (this is not really incorrect, but I would prefer to use these for topics which are closer at hand and those for things which are a little further away,)
I met a man who lived in (on would be more natural, even though you could make a case for “in” in this particular case.) a boat,
in Ibiza. The boat was a catamaran. It was not a waterhouse (water-house). This boat had to(two) parts, which were the float of the boat, united by the living room. Each part had two rooms with space enough for two people. The maintenance of the boat was very expensive but the man could earn money renting the rooms. He was (“a” the indefinite article is essential with professions.) sailor and he had travelled around the world two times (or twice). If I had been (a: with professions.) sailor, I would have travelled around the world too. The boat had a terrace in (on the roof; it is always on the roof/ceiling/wall. In would mean inside the material these were made of.) the roof where you could eat everyday whereas (when means cuando and whereas means mientras que.) it wasn’t raining. Fortunately, Ibiza had a warm and not raining (dry; not raining cannot function as an adjective) climate.
My uncle life (life is vida. Live is vivir; so, I think you mean lives.) in the most beautiful house I´ve ever been. My uncle is (a: with professions.) a painter and he has organized many expositions around the world. Obviously, he has so much talent for mixing colors, shapes and angles. He earn (earns: this is the second time you have left out the s with the third person singular. That is if you want to speak about the present. I am not sure whether you are talking about the present or the past. If it is the past then you need the ed; earned)much money in his middle age, when he became (a; with professions.)known painter. His actual (acual means real in Spanish not de ahora which in turn means current. Currently: actualmente. Actually: realmente.) house
is a large and modern house. It has regular angles and all rooms are squares expect the room on (at the top and at the bottom. On the right and on the left.) the top, which is circular. This room on the top (at the top) is a drawing-room where he used to work. (Do you mean solia trabajar: because used to is only for the past. Suele is represented by the present simple in English; where he works) The windows in the house are enormous and, (the comma goes before the conjunction not after it.) across them, you can see the bask (Basque; capital letters for proper nouns.) mountains. A stream flows near the house and you can listen it (listen to it; there are verbs which cannot go without their dependent prepositions when used transitively: listen to, look at, depend on,
laugh at etc. when they have an object you need the preposition. Compare: He was listening/he was listening to music.) at
night. Why my uncle´s house is so unusual? (In a direct question you need the inversion: why is my uncle´s house so unusual? However, when speaking, we can ask questions changing our tone. I would prefer to stick to the rule for the time being.) Well, the
roof, the walls and the ground in the garden, are painted in light colors. For example, the tiles are red because is (is needs to be deleted. It doesn´t belong here.) it´s (a natural colour: colour is a singular noun. All singular nouns need a determinative.) natural color. My uncle painted some of them with black color making an abstract shape. The red and black in (on) the roof have(an incredible effect: effect is a singular noun. We need the article here. We choose an because incredible begins with a vowel.) incredible effect with the trees that surround the house. On the other hand, the principal (main) wall has been painted with yellow and green and my uncle draw (draw: meaning suele dibujar or drew meaning dibujo) a daisy. houses I
have been in in my life.
