11 Planning a Night Out

28 Planning a Night Out

Pam had decided that it would be a good idea to spend a night clubbing before the college term began. With this in mind, she started to ring round some of her friends. She thought that clubbing was more fun with a group of people,
and she intended to track down as many friends as possible. However, she wasn’t having much luck and she was running up a large phone bill. Several of them were still out of town on holiday. Jane had said that her parents did not approve of her going clubbing, and Pam had heard that they were the sort to
interfere with their daughter’s social life. Trixie said that she was busy just then, but that she would call back and Vi hung up, saying that she was miserable because she and her boyfriend had parted. Pam thought that she was going to have to cancel the clubbing expedition, but Trixie called and
said that she would go and that she would round up one or two others. Since they would be late coming home from the club, it was decided that Pam would put Trixie up for the night. Trixie’s mother was an anxious person and would wait up for her, no matter how late it was. Pam shared a flat with two other students and so parents were not a problem.
